Whether you can sing like Luciano Pavarotti or Frankie Valle, the Carroll County Chorale needs tenors, says newly hired director George Cazan.
Cazan, of Carrollton has been a member of the Chorale for the past two years and was the only male tenor voice in the group. He is also the director of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church Choir in Massillon where he has also faced the problem of having just a few tenor and bass voices.
George is a retired teacher and principal from the Canton City Schools and was a supervisor in the Outreach Department of the Stark County District Library.
He has degrees from Ohio University and Kent State and has done graduate studies at the Universities of Akron, Kent State, and Ohio State. He has performed with the Canton Civic Opera, the Canton Players Guild and various local churches and orchestras.
George states, “I feel the Carroll County Chorale has a wealth of talent and I am looking forward to making it a respected music performance organization, while having lots of fun as well.”
