Along with Granger exhibition, many original quilts created by Susan Price Cook of Bowerston, Ohio will be on exhibit throughout the Carroll County Art Gallery during September and October 2007.
Susan Prince Cook has degrees in education from Kent State and taught elementary school in Coshocton County for thirty years and is now retired. Her quilting started when she purchased a kit and began teaching herself. Later she took classes from experts in the field and has taught quilting classes locally. She has made over 100 quilts including appliquéd, pieced, and embroidered. Her favorite techniques include hand quilting and appliqué and her favorite subjects are flowers and nature. Quilts range in size from miniature to king-sized and in style from traditional to contemporary.
Susan will also be at the artist’s reception Saturday, September 15 from 1 to 4 pm.
